<-- at the center of an artifact rescued from Drink 'n' Draw Nite at the Bauhaus. This large collaborative work was drawn from four perspectives, and later brought to a completed state by Greg Sockeye and Wanda Duck.
Everyone has his or her own first memory of Sockeye.   I walked into the Bauhaus one night -- and there right before my astonished eyes, was a tall skinny guy dressed only in vegetables and saran wrap.  His band mates were the scariest group of guys I'd ever seen and the  music was equally as frightening, until I began to listen to it.  Then I started to laugh and never stopped. I was a fan from that moment on. Sockeye didn't just push the boundaries -- with Sockeye, there were no boundaries.  They took political incorrectness to places Bill Maher never dreamed of.  They were wonderful collaborators in many Theatre of Sorts events.  They were my inspiration in so many ways.  Dave Sockeye introduced me to the 'zine culture, and to the possibilities of homemade recordings.  He was a favorite co-star because he would do anything -- without fear.
